Cabbage appetizer
Starter - Brazil
You'll need:
1 | small Savoy cabbage cut in strips |
100 g | streaky bacon cut into small pieces |
1/2 teaspoon | sesame oil |
2 tablespoons | olive oil |
1 | finely diced onion |
2 | finely chopped garlic cloves |
1/2 bunch | parsley |
1/8 - 1/4 L | chicken broth |
2 leaves | gelatine, soaked in cold water |
Salt and pepper |
Our tip
The dish can be prepared on the previous day.
Preparation

Step 1
Heat the bacon, onion and garlic in a large frying pan, add the oil and cabbage and continue heating at medium heat for 5-7 minutes.

Add the broth, continue cooking and add the parsley.

Remove from the stove, add the squeezed out gelatine and mix well.

Step 4
Portion into deep plates and cool in the fridge for 20-25 minutes before serving with toast.
